The B Pothole FREE™ System Keeps Mother Nature Happy

Traditional methods of repairing potholes can be costly to the environment. The B Pothole FREE™ pothole repair system not only saves time and money, it is extremely environmentally friendly.

A traditional pothole repair releases 85% more CO2 than a B Pothole FREE™ method. Traditional methods release approximately 52 kilos of CO2 per repair, while the B Pothole FREE™ method releases only approximately 4.2 kilos. Putting it into an environmental prospective, that equates to 11 trees required to absorb the carbon dioxide release from traditional repair methods, versus only one tree with B Pothole FREE™.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!

During a traditional pothole repair there can be significant dust involved. There is NO dust with the B Pothole FREE™ system.

Traditional larger pothole repair services projects involve the removal of waste material. This often means dump trucks or other large gasoline powered vehicles must be part of the process. The waste or excess aspalt then is transported to a landfill. Because the B Pothole FREE™ system uses infrared technology and recycles the existing macadam, there is no waste. Our method keeps waste out of the landfill and also keeps the haul-away truck off the road, reducing the need for excess gasoline and eliminating emissions from that truck

The repair is finished in 20 minutes, will last longer, and there is no need for further vehicles, or removal of any kind. That efficiency over time leads to less man hours required, less vehicles on the road, and less carbon foot printing on each project.

What People Say

Scottish Institute of Sustainable Technology

"The results show that B Pothole FREE™ process has a significantly smaller carbon footprint than the traditional process, emitting less than one seventh of that of the traditional method per pothole repair. This has been achieved through a combination of lower operational energy use and lower resource consumption. As a result, the B Pothole FREE™ process can recommended as preferable to the traditional process on the basis of CO2 emissions generated."

Starbucks Black Top goes Green

In October 2009, Bob Schreiber Regional Facility Director (Florida) for Starbucks Coffee Company tested a number of stores in Jacksonville FL for repairing Oil Pitting in parking bays. They weren't dangerous enough to call in the landlord, but aesthetically they made several high traffic stores look run down, which was bad for business.

" This was an area we normally pass to our landlord to deal with, but when we found we would save nearly 50% against normal repairs and our stores didn't have to stop trading, it was worth taking the plunge" says Schreiber.

"The results were excellent, a two man team professionally repaired over 17 parking bays in about a day with minimal disruption . My team are now using it as and when required and I have no hesitation in recommending the B Pothole FREE system to any of my industry colleagues "
